Mission Statement

MX3CS provides strategic intelligence for navigating the transition from human capital to machine capital. Through our premium publication, Macro Machine Mandate (MX3), we deliver disciplined analysis of the long-cycle forces reshaping ownership, power, and sovereignty as automation accelerates. Through Commerce Solutions (CS), we encode that insight into scalable, self-serve systems and tools designed to support capital allocation in the autonomous machine economy.

Our Purpose

The century-long correlation between human effort and economic value has broken. As intelligence and execution become commodities, traditional investment models built on labor-for-margin paradigms are becoming structurally impaired. Most market analysis is still chasing software narratives, but the real transition is a fundamental shift in where value concentrates.

MX3CS exists to build the map for this new geography of value. In a post-labor world, wealth is no longer a function of managing people. It is a function of owning the constraints of the machine stack. We seek to shift our clients from participating in technology trends to securing sovereignty over the systems that will define production through the next decade.

The Dual-Engine Model

MX3CS operates through a dual-engine architecture designed to move capital from strategic awareness to autonomous application. We do not offer bespoke consulting or hourly advisory work. Value is delivered through logic, systems, and infrastructure, not human labour.

Macro Machine Mandate (MX3) is our flagship intelligence product. It provides disciplined judgement on the long-cycle macro forces shaping the machine economy, including automation, AI and robotics, energy and infrastructure, monetary systems, geopolitics, and emerging ownership structures. The Mandate is written for decision-makers with responsibility for outcomes, not narratives or short-term market noise.

Commerce Solutions (CS) is our applied execution layer. CS encodes the strategic logic of the Mandate into repeatable, self-serve premium products that will be released over time. These systems are designed to allow users to apply machine-economy insight directly to capital allocation and wealth management in a world where machines become the primary productive force.

Our Methodology

MX3CS is built on the principle that a firm analysing the end of labour should not remain structurally dependent on labour. Our long-term objective is to deploy systems that operate without human intervention. That is not yet technically achievable, so human judgement remains in the loop for now. We acknowledge the irony as a transitional constraint, not a philosophical compromise.

We help serious decision-makers understand and own the logic, infrastructure, and productive systems that will define the global economy through 2030 and beyond.

Our Fiduciary Stance

MX3CS provides strategic logic and structural intelligence, not regulated financial advice. We do not offer specific securities, stock picks, price targets, or buy/sell recommendations. Our work is a holistic analysis of the machine economy, designed to surface long-cycle structural shifts rather than short-term market signals.

All frameworks are built using impartial and credible data sources and interpreted through our proprietary logic. However, the complexity of emerging systems means that errors, omissions, or misinterpretations may occur. Our outputs are intended to inform independent judgement, not replace it.

Capital allocation involves inherent risk. Responsibility for all investment decisions remains solely with the allocator.

Simon Montford

Chief Executive Officer / Founder

The founder of MX3CS is a London-born entrepreneur based between Edinburgh and London, with a background in technology, strategy, and capital markets. A serial tech entrepreneur with an MBA, he has spent over a decade working at the intersection of automation, machine intelligence, and economic systems.

Since 2014, he has been a public speaker, meet-up host, and independent analyst, providing long-form analysis on the machine economy and its implications for geopolitics, industry, and capital allocation. His work has focused on industrial and economic systems rather than consumer technology, with particular emphasis on how automation reshapes ownership, sovereignty, and productive power.

Areas of expertise include the machine economy, geopolitics, Industrial IoT and Industry 4.0, machine-to-machine systems, machine commerce and micropayments, distributed ledger technologies, asset tokenisation, autonomous organisations, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, and autonomous systems across both civilian and defence contexts.

MX3CS reflects a long-standing focus on understanding how machines become economic actors, and how capital, infrastructure, and policy must adapt as human labour becomes less central to production.

Most portfolios are diversified across a dying model.

Traditional diversification is no longer a hedge against structural decay. If your capital is tied to labor-dependent margins, you are systematically exposed to the transition. The Mandate is the structural audit of the machine economy. We do not track market sentiment or retail hype. We track the physical, energy, and logic constraints that determine who owns the future and who merely rents it.
